What Did Cause The Sudden Jump In My Blood Sugar?
i have had a sudden jump in blood sugar and HGB a1c of 9.8 %. just 6 months my hgb a1c was 5.0% i was not a diabetic. Antibogy testing for anti- gab , 1a 2 antibody was positive. Cpeptide was 1.03 insulin antibody negative. now on lantus and pre meal insulin , sugars are less 110 . what could have happened?

Dear sir i can understand your concern.
By analysis the above reports i can tell you that there is some damage to your pancreas due to auto immunity.
this is called as LADA Latent autoimmune diabetes of adults,This is similar to type 1 diabetes but will come in adult age
Gad antibodies will be positive in most of cases.
the reasons of sudden onset of LADA is mostly Unknown
the insulin regimen what you are taking is the best.
