i have my mother x-ray result and i can't understand what is the findings: the IMPRESSION indicate that PTB RIGHT LUNGS WITH VOLUME LOSS COMPENSATORY HYPERAERATION LEFT LUNG WITH FIBROCALCIFIC DENSITIES IN THE IPPER LUNG ATHEROMATOUS ORTA
According to chest X-ray there is volume loss in right lung(Loss of lung parenchyma) and it is due to past history of tuberculosis. There is compensatory over inflation of left lung in response to volume loss of right lung. This is normal compensatory mechanism of our body. There are also fibrocalcified lesions in upper lung(side is not mentioned in the report),it is also sequel of infection.Infection heals by fibrosis and calcifications. Atheromatous aorta is age related finding.
