I just miscarrige on 25 Feb 2011, when it was about 8 weeks. It is my 2nd miscarriage, 1st miscarriage was May 2009, during that time i was around 18 weeks pregnancy.
Recently i have done several blood test and found that the Antinuclear Antibody Test(ANA) is positive with Titre 1:80 Speckled Pattern. Doctor say this ANA positive do not causing the miscarriage and told me that nothing to be worry about and do not need to do anything now until my next pregnacy. And he only mention that when come to my next pregnancy, i will need to take aspirin. Can someone share with me more on this ANA positive? Is it relavant to my both miscarriages? What i need to take note and anything to do to prevent miscarriage? I am worry now and at the crossroad as do not know what i should do to prepare prior to my next pregnancy?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have ANA positive with speckled pattern. It is seen in SLE, Sjogren syndrom, Mixed connective tissue disease, scleroderma or evolving rhumatic disease. You may haev any of the aboce connective tissue disease. however they are not resposible for youe recurrent miscarriage. so dont worry about that. You should go for complete ANA profile to find the cause and take treatmetn accordingly. Hope I have answered your question. If you have doubt then feel free to ask me. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
