What Does A Spot On Liver And Lungs Indicate?

March of 2013, I had a MRI done. My doctor said it showed a spot on my liver and a spot on my lungs. Should I be concerned ? My cardio doctor requested this. I have not felt the same since the nuclear stress test , etc. I do appreciate your input. Linda Haidamous Tomball, Texas

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
If you are asymptomatic then no need to worry for spot on lung and liver.
They might be due to old healed lesion or scar or calcified spot.
Follow up of these lesions are needed.
So get done repeat scan after 6 months to see for size of the spots.
If they remain static or decreasing in size then no need to worry much. They are benign spots only.
But if they are increase in size and number then further investigation in the form of biopsy is needed to rule out malignant lesion.
So no need to worry at present, get done repeat scan after 6 months and discuss all these with your doctor.
