My husband went in for a MRI with contrast today. After they removed the needle he noticed on his way home his jacket was getting very wet. Once he got home, (1 mile from hospital) his coast sleeve was soaked in blood. I mean soaked! Could this be a sign of his cancer returning?
There might have been inadvertent needle injury and when removing the needle, enough pressure might not have been given allowing the blood to flow. It is also possible that the blood clotting mechanism is delayed and his platelet counts need attention.
It is important to know further details of the cancer for which he has received treatment. It is unlikely to be a returning cancer.
