What Does Cephalic Normohydramnios Female Which Showed During The Ultrasound Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
hi im a 27year old preagnant women the ultrasound report said that the placenta location is posterior the amniotic fluid is aequete and the doctor impression is single live uterine pregnancy of 30w4d cephalic normohydramnios female i ask what that means..
Hello and welcome to HCM, I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries. The report indicates that there is a female baby. Cephalic: The head of the baby is in the lower part of the uterus which is a normal presentation. Normohydramnios is not a regular medical term but it means that the fluid surrounding the baby is in adequate amount. Posterior placenta shows the location of the placenta which is attached to the posterior wall. This can be anywhere and as long as it is not in the lower uterus it is normal. So this is normal in your case.
You have not mentioned the date of your last menstrual period so I am unable to say how much the gestation is. If the ultrasound was done around 30 +/- 2 weeks then this is a normal report. Hope this was helpful. Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help. Thanks for using HCM. Have a good day. Dr Nilajkumar Bagde Consultant Obstetrics and Gynecology
