What Does Darker Spots In The Colonic X Ray Indicate?
I had a colonic xray yesterday bariumenema etc on a huge machine in Hereford hiospital. Whilst turning over and being stood up on feet and head I was trying to look at the screens. There were patches where the intestine seemed darker in colour and in one place twisted, a bit like a garden hosepipe, when water won't come out. What are the danger signs?
You were looking at the appearance of colon on the fluorescent tube. This is a normal way of doing the procedure and what you saw are expected normal images of your colon which appears like a hose pipe in the abdomen. If you have any problem, your doctor will mention it in the reports. The black areas are channels through which barium is travelling in your colon.
