What Does "SGPT-87,SGOT-39,ESR-25mm And Cholesterol-257" In Lab Tests Suggest?

My husband's SGPT level is 87 and SGOT level is 39. Serum IgE results shows 133.0 IU/ml. He is 32yrs old. His E.S.R 1st hour is 25mm and 2nd hr is 54 mm. Total Cholestrol is 257 mg/dl. HDL Cholestrol is 38. LDL Cholestrol 189. Ratio T Chol/HDL is 6.7. He drinks occasionally. What do these results say about his health conditions? Please advise on a diet and medicines for him.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
SGOT and SGPT are two liver enzymes which are elevated in damage to the liver cells.
ESR level of 25 mm in 1st hour suggests some inflammatory pathology.
Total cholesterol is raised.LDL cholesterol is also raised, HDL is slightly lowered.

You need to consult a physician for management of deranged lipid profile.

Thanks and take care
