What Does The Following Post Surgery CT Scan Mean?

My father is 65, an ulcer was found at right foot, we did biopsy which was malignant melanoma & in the CT scan some nodes were found at the inguinal area. Then we went for surgery on 16th Dec. But post surgery report says: melanoma infiltrating upto 0.2 cm Clark's lavel v - from base of ulcer.Surgical cut margins are free of tumor. But 3 out of 13 inguinal lymph nodes are metastatic without extra capsular extension.
So, as per you, how serious is it & is it curable, what should we do now.

Welcome to Health care magic.

Malignant multiple lymph nodes ( metastatic ) after surgery indicates advancing of the disease process - could be due to reduced immunity of the patient.
Extension of the disease process is seen at the operative site.

Its incurable disease but it can be treated and go in to relapse stage for years together. With steroids and chemotherapy.

Post surgery CT for evaluation of the post operative status and adjacent structures involvement, lymph nodal assessment and vascular invasion.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
