open MRI w/out dye of 1 yr old injury says marked irregularity identified ulnar aspect of dorsal TFC disc and severe attenuation central radial attachments with thickening and fluid in dital radioulnar joint. All involving the central TFC disc and ulnar attachments. High grade to complete tears. Small wrist effusion. Dr. says it will heal on it's own.
Hi, Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic. MRI without dye means MRI study without contrast. Contrast is necessary to identify infections/inflammation/tumors. In your case as it was injury, I think contrast was not required. It says there is high grade tear involving TFC (Triangular Fibro Cartilage). I doubt a high grade tear will heal on its own. You will need to do surgical reconstruction for it. Please consult a different orthopedician. Hope it sorts your problem and wishing you a speedy recovery.
