Hi Doc. I have stage 4 endometriosis and unable to get pregnent. I am on Danazole 200mg BID since three months. last week I did ultrasound and the result is here. Plz let me know, what is the finding indicate.Pelvice ultrasound with endovaginal scan::Transversical and endovaginal ultrasound was performed. The uterus is anteverted, retroflexed and mesures approximately 77x38x39mm.No focal myometrial abnormality is evident. The endometrial echo complex measures 4mm.The overies are not enlarged. There are small follicular sized cysts on both sides. No adnexal mass.No fee fluids.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of the ultrasound report is as follows: The uterus is anteverted and retroflexed. Anteflexion is the normal position of uterus, however, in your case it is retroflexed. Flexion refers to the angle formed by the uterine body with the cervix. However, this position is not of much consequence. The endometrial thickness is 4mm. The endometrial thickness increases during proliferative or follicular phase. The myometrium or the muscle layer of uterus is also within normal limits. The ovaries are within normal limits on ultrasound. There is no evidence of endometriosis on ultrasound. There is presence of follicular cysts on ultrasound which is a normal finding.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
