hi, can u help me . i had a result on my transvaginal ultrasound can u please explain this: normal sized anteverted uterus, thin endometrium, polycystic ovaries. my right ovary multiple subcapsular follicles 0.7cm and my left ovary multiple subcapsular follicles 0.5cm
According to reports you may have bilateral polycystic ovarian disease(PCOD).It is suggested by multiple small follicles in both ovaries. PCOD should be confirmed by clinical correlation and biochemical markers like hormonal assay for PCOD. PCOD is a curable disease and mostly it is treated by medicines.Surgical intervention is required in very few cases. Other findings like uterus, endometrium is normal.Thickness of endometrium varies with the stage of menstrual cycle. Hope i have answered your query.
