Hi I had an ultrasound done and the report says no focal fibriods however a cluster of small myometrial cysts measuring 6mm adjacent to fundal endometrium. The exact aetioloogy of these is uncertain. No evidence of endometrial polyp. Endometrial echo measuring 7mm
The report said bth ovaries normal size right 16cc and left 15.8cc. There are multiple predominant peripheral follicles on each ovary greater than 30 on each side n measure upto 6 mm, no evidence of dominant follicle. The ovarian appearance are suggestive of PCOS but requires clinical evidence. Tiny myometrial cysts adjacent to endometrial echo in fundal region noted. There are if uncertain possibly doubtful significance.i can't see any focal fibriods.
I m planning to conceive since 3 months having seen the report like this I m very very worried. Pls suggest n try to explain me my report

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya Pai's Response
the uterus has two layers the endometrium is the outer layer and the myometrium is the inner layer. . A myometrial cyst so small in size should be of no concern to pregnancy. Your ovaries seem to have a few follicular cyst and your doctor should do blood work to evaluate if you have a consdiiton called polycystic ovarian disease
