Hello Sheryn and welcome,
I must congratulate you for your spirit, it is inspirational.
If
menopause did not have any problems then
hysterectomy will also not have any.
After menopause the
hormonal levels begin to decline leading to various changes in the female body. These changes are external as well as internal. The ovaries do not function and no longer produce the female hormones. This leads to thin bones, thin skin and absent menses as the common effects. Some women experience effects like hot flashes etc. You are already menopausal and have passed this phase with ease. The
uterus and ovaries were non functional already in your case. So the presence or absence of uterus does not mean anything for your body. It had already stopped functioning.
The only issue is that if you were on
hormone replacement therapy then you may not have experienced the symptoms due to the external hormones.
If you were not on any
hormone therapy for menopause and still sailed through with ease, the hysterectomy will not have any effect on you.
So all my good wishes are with you for a long and healthy and youthful life.
I hope that this answered your query.
Please feel free to ask any more questions and I would be glad to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
