What Is Prognosis For The Cholesterol Report Findings?

hi, my husband's blood work just came in the mail and I'm trying to make sense of it. His triglycerides is 162, hdl is 37, LdL is 114, glucose is 97. He is 38, weighs 240, is 6'2. He has a paternal family history that is high in diabetes (several aunts have died from diabetic complications, his dad has it, and many cousins also. all on the paternal side. His dad was also recently had a heart attack and he is not a candicate for bypass due to deteriation and multiple blocks. he has had stints put in this week and is due for quite a few more in another week. So, with his family history, are these numbers high for my husband. He works out at least 5 times a week and is a healthy eater. thanks for your help

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your husband's present lipid profile is normal, but cholesterol level is not mentioned in query.
He should be more vigilant because he has positive family history of heart problems.
He should try to decrease his weight and need investigations at regular intervals.
It is good that he is physically active.
He should avoid fried and junk food.
Take plenty of fibres in diet.

His blood sugar level is normal.

Get well soon.
Take Care
