Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
I would first like to know what exactly do you mean by cold- is she feeling it to be cold, or you on touching the leg feel its cold?
if she is feeling it cold, it could likely be because she is not moving her leg at all. and so the stagnation of blood may be making it cold. tell her to move her toes, and she might feel better
if you are feeling the leg to be cold, the chances are that she has had a
vascular injury as well, which is causing the cold feeling of the leg. the only way to confirm this is by a doppler study. i would suggest you do it. and meet a doctor again, especially if its cold and she may/may not have discolouration of leg, usually blue/pale
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
