What Is The Meaning Of The Transvaginal Scan Result?
I have a transvaginal results, saying the uterus is normal in size with heterogeneous myometrial echopattern. An isoechoic solid mass measuring 1.8X1.9X1.5cm is seen in the posterior wall. A cystic mass measuring 8.2x8.5x6.2cm(vol.231.6ml) is seen posterofundal to the uterus. What does this means?
According to reports uterus is normal in size with heterogeneous echotexture. There is isoechoic solid mass in the uterus measuring(1.8X1.9X1.5cm) in the posterior wall. It may be fibroid uterus. There is another lesion measuring 8.2x8.5x6.2cm(vol.231.6ml) in the posterofundal region of the uterus, it may be due to many reasons like myometrial cyst etc. Treatment modality is both conservative and surgical depending upon many things like age, family is completed or not, symptoms etc. You should consult your gynecologist. Hope i have answered your query.
