General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to the rupture of the blood vessels in the mucous lining. I suggest to use a saline nasal spray. I also suggest to use a mucolytic to help with the mucus. I recommend to drink liquids and rest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
