Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.com. like heart is to body so is parenchyma to kidney,the essential functioning system.The disease causes scarring and kidneys lose their function whenever scar tissue forms. Often this scarring can lead to kidney failure.Treatment involves exogenously supplanting kidney function like hemodialysis wherein machine takes care of kidney function.Ultimately such patients need renal transplant.
