Hello
I have gone through your question.
If you have
hypothyroidism,you need thyroid
hormone replacement therapy.
This treatement will help you to feel better.
If you are taking about birth control pills and your periods,i can say that going off un
hormonal contraceptive, is a big switch for your body.
Birth control pills stop your body from producing hormones that trigger ovulation and menstruation.
When you go off the pill, it can take a while, your menstrual cycle will return. This is normal.
If your periods now are different and heavier than before the contraceptive pills,in my opinion, hypothyroidism can be the cause.
Hypothyroidism can cause longer menstrual periods with a heavier flow(with clots). So,i suggest to consult an
endocrinologist in your area because it is necessary to start taking Levothyroxine.
This will help you to return to your "normal" menstrual cycle and to calm your nerves.
Hope this is helpful.
Wish you good health.
