What Is The Treatment For Nerve Root Compression And Spinal Stenosis?
have had cervical thru limbar injuries during my 60 years of life, currently mri shows c5/c6 fusion/ i had no surgery, i had cracked c3 and c5 in auto accident 1975(?)..lumbar is the most painful/ mri of 2010 shows L2-3 concentric tear far left lateral aspect of the annulus/mild bilateral degenerative facet disease is present, not resulting in neuroforamen encroachment or nerve root compression/ L3-4 minimal bulging annulus is present in addition, mild facet arthropathy,not resulting in ffacet nerve root compression or spinal stenosis and L4-5 mild bulging annulus present in addition to facet arthropathy,encroaching the posterior aspect of each neuroforamen, not resulting in nerve root compression,modic endplate change is present/ what can be done for me?

First of all you should mention your complaints. Because in case of back problem not only mri but whole clinical scenario should be taken into consideration while deciding plan of management. Your mri is also 5 years old and also needs to be done again. So if you have significant amount of back pain , difficulty in performing daily activities and neurological claudication a repeat mri of lumbosacral spine is must. If this new mri shows canal stenosis and disc prolapse then surgery is recommended. There are various ways of spine surgery and best of them is endoscopic approach.
