I was just diagnosed with periferal neuropathy. I was recently found to be a borderline diabetic. MY sugar was 165 with fasting. They pricked my finger today with another kind of test. I had eaten 2 hours earlier. MY sugar was 87. Is that high for that type of test or a safe range
Normal fasting blood glucose level is 80-120 mg/dl. , pre diabetic is up to 150 mg/dl. Sugar level above 150mg/dl. is definitely diabetic , though mild type or early type.Neuroparhy may be caused in a diabetic patient.
