What Is The Treatment For Red Skin And Cystic Acne?
hi my name is rahul naik my age is 25. i suffering from red skin and cystic acne around my nose nozzles & on chin, in 2010. i taken treatment from dermitologist . he precribed me accutane, i taken it for 6 months after that acnes gone but red patches are still there they decresed so much but they are still there. so i stopped my treatment, then i go to another dermitologist in november 2011 becoz acnes are back n now its in my scalp also. he precrbed me azithral for 2 months and cinomycin for next 4 months, it helps lot but after stopping them red patches and acne comes back . both the demitologist tell me that its rosacea can you tell me my situation is curable.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of red skin and cystic acne which is severest form of acne. These acne occur when a pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with dead skin cells. Sometimes bacteria get trapped inside the pore, too, causing the area to become red and swollen. You should exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy. You can go for laser therapy as well.
