What Is The Treatment For Skin Rash?

hi, my son is 12yrs old, and has a really bad cough & sore throat, he has just in the past hour broke out in a rash, (it looks like he been stung of nettles) only on his arms, and a small amout on his abdomen, he said it's really itchy ... i am really worried.

Hi,

I can understand your concern.

That rash could be because of several causes. One of them could be allergy. Since he is having cough etc if any drug is started for relief then that could be a cause. A physical examination is required to identify the type of rash and make a comment on the cause. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.
