I had a colonoscopy and a tube in my stomach to look around last Tuesday. I was told I have to see a suergon next week I have a hernia that has gotten larger and has twisted and pulled my stomach up. I throw up every day but what kind of surgery is that? Lapro or a cut? What do they do?

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
The choice of surgery- open or laparoscopic- depends on the judgement of the surgeon. As for the surgery, there are couple of things possible. 1. they simply return the herniated part of the intestine back in its proper place, and then close the incision 2. they replace the hernial contents and then they put a mesh in place to help the healing and avoiding the return of the hernia 3. sometimes they have to remove the hernial contents, as in when the thing is painful and strangulated.
Which surgery is being chosen is up to your surgeon cause he/she is the one who can actually visualize it and therefore decided better
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further. Best of luck.
