What Medication To Take To Advance Or Delay The Menstrual Cycle?

I would like to prepone or postpone my menses by 1 week. I have a trip jan 29, cycle is 27 days. last 2 start was oct 14 and nov 10. which gives me jan 30 start ( 1 day into trip). I have had tubal ligation 2011 and am healthy. I do not have a family dr or gyno for last 2 years as have moved. would I be able to get a script from a walkin clinic? or is there something comparable in herbal/natural?

THanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Generally, the medication is not available without prescription.
You might be able to get one from a walk in clinic.
There is no reliable herbal / natural product.
Progesterone preparations like Meprate / Deviry etc are generally prescribed for this indication.
You can use it in two ways.
Take the drug twice a day for 5 days, and then stop it.
You would bleed within 3 - 5 days, maximum within a week.
Either use it to induce your period well in advance, or start the drug in time, and continue it for the duration for which you want to be without periods.
Once you stop , withdrawal bleeding results in a few days as described.
Obtain it by a prescription though.
