What To Do If Having Headache Above Ear Radiating Around Temple, With Nausea, Facial Numbness, Tinnitus?

I am a migraine sufferer, but I have recently had a headache above my left ear radiating around my left temple, with nausea, facial numbness, tinnitus (where I can hear my pulse). My usual migraine medication will not work and the headache will not go. It does frighten me

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have note that you have new onset symptoms, which are not similar to your usual migraine episodes.

Any change in the character of headache in a person with migraine needs to be evaluated. However, it is possible that it could be related to migraine.

You may undergo MRI brain to confirm the diagnosis.

In view of tinnitus and location of pain, an ENT evaluation would also be helpful.
