my mother had surgery a few weeks ago. Things were getting better until she fell down several steps 4 nights ago, then again she fell down last night. She is currently taking 4mg of hydromorphone q 3-3 1/2 hrs. Tonight she is crying in so much pain. If she would go to the emergency room tonight would they still give her something to help her pain so she would feel a little better? What medicine could they give her if she has recently taken her hydromorphone medication?
