White Patches Inside Left Side Of Mouth On Cheek And Tongue

White patches inside left side of mouth on cheek and tongue with numbness and foul taste My husband has loose feeling/numbness in his left cheek and on the inside of his mouth the left cheek and left side of his tongue has turned white. He said it has a foul taste. Everything I research online brings up oral cancer . I am concerned

Hi,

A white lesion could be of different reasons. Do not come to conclusions until a biopsy of the particular site is done. You can consult a Oral Medicine specialist who can clinically diagnose the lesion and a biopsy would confirm the diagnosis. Please get a biopsy done at the earliest.You have not mentioned if your husband has any habits like smoking or tobacco chewing.

Hi, please do not conlude by searching on the net. It may be a fungal or a viral infection also. Please go for a thorough oral examination for your husband. Please get a biopsy done. Please do not delay the examinations and investigations. Cancer can also be treated if it is in initial stage. So do not waste time and act fast. Diagnosis and treatment must be started immediately. Take care!
