Whitish Discharge From The Ear With Foul Smell. Need To Go To Emergency?
My son has an ear tube that the doctor keeps saying is in his ear canal and will hopefully fall out soon. Today, he has white cottage cheese like discharge , and when I look into his ear, I can see a ton of the same cheesy looking substance surrounding the trapped tube. The smell is horrible. Does he need to be taken to the ER?

hi.. thanks for using HCM.. you child could be having chronic supporative otitis media.. see you ENT surgeon immediately, as this condition is associated with complication like hearing loss, cholesteotoma, infection of the mastiods, cochlea..etc. after a course of antibiotics, your child may need surgery.. all the very best..
HI
Thank for choosing HCM, This could be a fungle infection of meedle ear, which need to be cleaned, for this you will have to see the ENT surgeon, and let him decide the later manegments, there must be some pus formation that causes bad order,,Have nice day.
