Why Do I Experience Hot Flashes After Taking Natural Estrogen?

I am a 66 year old female who had a hysterectomy when I was 37...I am currently experiencing hot flashes after stop taking estrogen. I tried to grin and bear.,but the flashes got so bad that I decided to try a natural herbal formula....Estrologic. I took the first dose on five days ago and am feeling very edgy and jumpy. I am not taking any other medication. I would be pleased to talk with a doctor on this matter. Thank you.

Hi. Welcome to HCM. Hot flashes are common in menopause attained females. About 70% of women will experience hot flashes at some point in the menopausal transition. Hormone therapy is best for treating menopausal symptoms. There are other modes of treatment for hot flashes like biomedical hormone therapy, other drugs other gabapentin, megestrol. estro-Logic is made with herbal ingredients, including Wild Yam Extract, Black Cohosh Root Extract and Soybean Isoflavone. It is said that its designed to help women make a smooth menopausal transition by treating the whole body.
