Why Do We Have Susten Tablets During Pregnancy And Does It Have Any Side Effect?
Hi Doc, I'm 29 yrs old and having my second pregnancy after 8.5 years. My gynec advised me to intake susten 100 mg tablet for a month. I would like to know if this has any other side effects and what is the need for using this medicine. I was also advised to take folic acid tablets as well. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant.

The susten is progesterone hormone supplement. Your body produces progesterone naturally in pregnancy.
If the quantity is less then there may be miscarriage.
So in precious pregnancy like conceiving after long time, or after infertility treatment most doctor prescribe susten.the drug does not have any side effects.
Folic acid is -important in pregnancy and is compulsory.
