Why Is Duphaston Taken? Which Is The Best Time For Intercourse?
hi im 40 and trying to conceive, i have regular periods lastin for about 4 days with a 24 day cycle.My doctor has prescribed Duphaston from day 11 for 10 days. using ovulation strip, i ovulate on day 13. want to know the reason for having duphaston and also what is the best time to have intercourse.

As you are already 40 , you know it becomes difficult to conceive once the female exceeds 35 years. I am answering your 2nd query first that the best time for ovulation 12 th day to the 18 day which is the best time for ovulation
Another query Duphaston is dehydrgesteone is a synthetic progesterone. It is added on the 2nd phase of the of the normal menstrual cycle also called as the progestatianal phase . That is prepare the uterus lining to grow properly ti implant the fertilized ovum. Probably your endogenouus or your normal levels of progesterone may be very low
