Why Is Pain And Swelling In Ankle Persistent After Suffering An Injury?

I rolled my ankle badly around two weeks to the day, it swelled badly, I got it x-ray and nothing was seen to be broke, Swelling has gone down and extensive bruising has some out, but when I walk it still hurts extensively, and when I sit or just stand it throbs up my leg
