Why There Is Achy Feeling In My Arms And Legs After Getting Wisdom Teeth ?
Achy feeling in my arms and legs after getting wisdom teeth removed Today (8:20 am) I got two wisdom teeth removed as well as an impacted baby tooth that i still had (I am 22 years old) in my right side. The doctor prescribed me amoxocillin, motrin, and oxycodone, which i have had all in the past. In November of last year I had the left side of my wisdom teeth removed and a baby tooth on that side. Well around 11 pm I started to have a dull ache (tingling and tight feeling) in both my legs and arms. Also my blood pressure was 140/78 pulse 72, my blood pressure is usual right at normal all the time 120/80 or 117/80. I was wondering if this is a side effect of any ofthe medications I am on or the procedure itself or somthing totally different?

Wisdom tooth extraction is a complicated surgery and is often associated with pain, fever , swelling , difficulty in mouth opening, dry socket,numbness in tongue , lip , check of the same side.
I suggest you to visit physician as the symptoms your having is not due to tooth extraction , but in can be due to rise in bp , so get it checked.
Avoid stress and maintain oral hygiene , take tab neurobion forte once a day.

I understand that you underwent impaction surgery. Impaction surgery involves bone trimming so there are associated symptoms like pain and swelling post surgery. Were you apprehensive or tensed about surgery? Do you have medical history of high blood pressure? The tingling sensation could not be due to wisdom tooth extraction though the feeling of weakness can be the surgery itself is a little taxing and post surgery you need to be on liquids.If the symptoms persist I advise you to check with your physician

Post-extraction of wisdom tooth,fever,headache,nausea,anxiety are common after effects.
I WOULD advice you to avoid anxiety and stress ful jobs to reduce the elevated bp levels.
Maintain oral hygiene well.
Take plenty of fluids and water .
Nutritous rich food has to be taken.
Frequent warm saline gargle has to be done.
Apply ice packs on the extraction site area.
Rinse mouth after every meals.
To lower the weakness,vitamin-c ,iron supplements has to be taken.

As you have mentioned you do not have high BP , SUDDEN RAISE IN THE BLOOD PRESSURE is may be due to apprehension and anxiety you had about the dental surgery.
140/78 is slight raised blood pressure , do not worry.
raised blood pressure is not associated with dental surgery but it is due to stress , anxiety and general weakess.
i would suggest you to start with a antibiotic and analgesic course consulting your dentist , which helps in subsiding the swelling and pain post extraction.
avoid stress , take rest and relax yourself , drink lot of water and keep yourself hrdrated.
follow all the post extraction instructions and rinse the mouth with lukewarm saline or antiseptic mouth rinse

Hi, it could be a side effect of medication. Same medication from two different companies may give different side effects due to the quality of the drug formulation. Please consult a good physician. Procedure of deimpaction of teeth as such does not cause any such symptoms to occur. Take care!
