DPT vaccination or Immunization is Immunization to protect against diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), and tetanus. It is given in a series of 5 shots at 2, 4, 6, 18 months of age and 4 to 6 years of age.

DPT stands for DIPHTHERIA , PERTUSSIS , TETANUS.
refers to a class of combination vaccines against three infectious diseases in humans: diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus.
The vaccine components include diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, and killed whole cells of the organism that causes pertussis (wP).
It is given to infants as immunization schedule,given intramuscular.
