Question: can mild posterior disc bulge and far right lateral disc protrusion at L5-S1 be caused by falling of a shelf and landing on your coccyx

The mild disc bulge that you have can be due to the fall. It can also be an age related degenerative change of the spine. But recurrent injuries also do cause a protruded disc. This is just a minor change and can be reverted back with the help of medicines and regular physiotherapy. Do consult your orthopedician for the same.
