Cat Scan Revealed To Have Enlarged Ovaries. Is It Cancer?
No, this is not diagnostic of cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
No, only a finding of enlarged ovaries is not enough to suspect cancer.
the most common cause of enlarged ovaries is PCOS, which is not cancer.
Considering your age this certainly need follow up & further investigation.
If your ovaries just look enlarged & there is no definitive mass or cyst then probably you need nothing but a follow up scan 3-6 months later.
However, if there is a cyst or mass in ovaries carry out Ca-125 testing. This is a tumor marker for common ovarian cancers.
Best is to visit a Gynecologist personally. Your doctor will examine you, take your history, see your reports & will give clear answer to your questions.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
