Question : Lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion 7mm, being told not good to get operation, any other way to cure? Male, age 30, 180cm height. Many thanks.

Lumbar inter-vertebral disc protrusion is bulging out of the cartilaginous discs between vertebrae.
Bulging of the disc is the initial stage and if not managed in time, prolapse of the disc can occur.
At your stage, bed rest will be very helpful.
If associated with pain, painkillers can be used.
Rest can replace the disc back to its position.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for further work up.
