Suggest Treatment For Recurrent And Persistent UTI

Question: for past 4 months I have had an UTI on and off..Three different antibiotics and week after each antibiotic it is back again. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
Urine culture and radiological investigation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
UTI relapses need investigation. A radiological investigation (starting with an ultrasound scan of the urinary tract) is needed. Urine culture is essential to identify the pathogen and antibiogram to analyze the pathogen's sensitivity to certain antibotics.
Quinolones are usually sufficient for the majority of community acquired UTI.
Sometimes UTI can be related with sexual intercourse. If this is the case with you, then taking antibiotic prophylaxis will help reduce the infection risk.
I hope I've helped!
