What Does The Following Pelvic Tomography Report Indicate?
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. The pelvis CT is showing a small 8 mm calcification adjacent to rectum at the level of hip joint which is behind the bladder. I wish to confirm with you if it was mentioned to you in the report.
2. I would like to see additional CT scan images of the pelvis if available and any treatment history for your urinary condition.
3. The TMJ on both sides is normal. There is no dislocation and the alignment is maintained. The neck muscle spasm might be from the mild degenerative changes in cervical spine which was discussed previously.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Although on the report for the pelvic ct, they noticed a hypodensity zone in the liver....
What could explain such hypodensity in the liver ?
Thank you again for your precious help. It is very much apreciated.
Is the calcification more on the left side ?
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. The hypodensity in the liver is measuring 3 mm and is pin head size. This is a harmless and benign finding which is too small to characterize. It might represent an evolving cyst but at the present size it is not worrisome and therefore I have not included it.
2. The calcification in the pelvis might have been reported as a calcification in the veins of the pelvis which is a common incidental finding. The left kidney appears normal. What I inquired regarding additional images is if there are any delayed contrast sequence images of the pelvis CT with a distended urinary bladder. I wish that you were my real patient and that I could do an ultrasound scan of your urinary system and make sure that we are not missing anything. Hope your pain in abdomen has reduced since.
3. I hope your ENT has discussed the possible causes lymphoid hyperplasia is monitoring it. The slight fluid asymmetry in the left cerebello pontine angle might not cause significant symptom.
Hope your query is answered.

Calcification in the pelvis was never mentioned in any way in the report.... could it be a mass or a cyst/herpetic lesion ?
Calcification in the pelvis was never mentioned in any way in the report.... could it be a mass or a cyst/herpetic lesion ?
Possibility of non gonococcal urethritis might be there
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. There is a group of conditions classified under Non-gonococcal urethritis and are known to cause symptoms mentioned by you. These are uncommon organisms which cause infections with difficulty in urination, burning and possibly passing cloudy urine. Since these might be caused by different strains therefore repeat infections are seen. In some cases the cause is not known even after detailed investigation.
2. The calcification is 8 mm and is a small pebble sized. This is not related to amass, cyst or herpes infection. I reassure you that it is not a cancer or infection.
3. XXXXXXX is a lovely place and you are most welcome. Hope you enjoy your trip.
Hope your query is answered.

i find weird that this is always recurring....couldnt it be fungal ?
or viral ?
or related to my filiarisis.....sorry for doing multiple line....
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Bacteria causing non gonococcal urethritis includes Chlamydia trachomatis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Haemophilus vaginalis and Mycoplasma genitalium. These might cause infection with different strains which is recurrent in nature. There are antibiotic regimens which are given once infection with a bacteria is suspected.
2. Viral causes are herpes and some types of adenoviruses.
3. Filaria and fungal infection is an unlikely cause. However if you use any lubrication jelly or condoms with spermicides causing allergy then that might also cause symptoms.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

As well as sinus congestion as in a kind of rhinitis ?
And about non-gonococal uti infection....would it be wise to take doxy for 7 days without having a culture ?
Sinusitis not related to dairy product
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. The intolerance to dairy products is not linked to urinary problem, memory, itchy ears, mucus in eyes or sinus infection including rhinitis.
2. The sensation of mucus is because of consistency of daily products.
3. Doxy for 7 days is basic treatment and will not cause any harm. If it persists then a specific treatment combining doxy and another antibiotic is given.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
I feel like some of my problem is related to candida....as some of it is getting worst with specific food....and as my eye floaters are exactly the same as if i would observe mycelium on the microscope.....im a bit hesitant now for abx regimen..
Please find details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Starting antibiotic treatment without confirmation is not justified. There are research studies showing that a requirement of more than one antibiotic might help eradicate the infection and using a single agent like doxy might not help to treat your problems completely. Some of the organisms infect as different strains of the same bacteria and this is why a combination of antibiotics is a better option.
2. It is not clear if your girlfriend has any of the symptoms that you are having and whether you have tried sex with condoms. It will be good if both of you are treated together and avoid sex during the treatment period. This is one of the options that might work.
3. There is a condition called Reiter's syndrome or urethro-oculo-articular syndrome and in this disease there is urethritis, eye irritation and joint pains in the patient. This requires a search for Chlamydia infection and treated.
4. Fungal infection is not common in young healthy people at your age. However a careful diagnosis by elimination of other causes might be required.
5. I suggest you take antibiotics after consulting your doctor.
Hope your query is answered.

i have proposed the reither syndrome as a possiblity and even though i present all clinical symptoms, no doctor will consider it....
Chlamydia infection should be looked for in detail
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. I wish you have been investigated for probable organisms causing non gonococcal urethritis.
2. Chlamydia is an important organism that must be tested for in detail. It is the same organism which is also partly responsible for Rieters syndrome. The symptoms appear one to 5 weeks after sexual exposure. Your partner might also be tested for it.
3. Please have a detailed discussion with your doctor regarding your symptoms due to chlamydia infection and possible manifestations.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
