Blood Tests Done. Are The Findings In Normal Range?
my blood test came back with the remarks 'There is a moderate normochromic normocytic anaemia. The red cells show moderate poikilocytosis, several elliptocytes and several fragmented cells. Some ovalocytes seen. There is a mild thrombocytosis. The white cells appear normal. Platelet count 555 (150-450) RDW 17.4 (11.0-15.0). Haemoglobin 99 g/L (115-165).
Hello, Thanks are writing to HCM, I have read your question, The blood report you have stated shows mild increase in the platelet count and even in the red blood cells density in blood and the haemoglobin level is less than normal, thrombocytosis means an increase in the number of thrombocytes in blood and as the platelet count is 555 it actually means that you have mild thrombocytosis, is usually caused due to an anaemia and as your blood report shows you are suffering from one.
There is nothing to worry about, since the levels are not too high, a correct diet plan and medication can improve the condition.
I suggest you to check up with the general physician first and state all your medical history and your daily routine to him that is your diet and nutrition and take his suggestion even after the consultation don't find any improvement I suggest you consult a cardiologist nearby.
Wishing you good health, Dr. K. Sanga Reddy
