Can The Lumps Formed In Jaw Be Related To The Non-cancerous Lumps In Breasts?
Hi im a female, 23 years old. Just this 1st of december i noticed a big lump just below my right jaw about the size of half of a table tennis ball. It s not painful when i move my neck but i feel pain when i press it. My aunt is a breast cancer survivor. And i was also diagnosed to have a small lump on both my breast. The findings said that they are not cancerous because they might be from hormonal imbalance which i get from my mother s side of the family but it is atill under observation. And my doctor advised me to have a breast ultrasound every 6 months so as to monitor the lumps on my breast. I m really scared and paranoid because i was thinking it might be cancer already because of those lumps thats showing in my body. Is it possible that the lump just below my jaw is related to the lumps on my breast? Hope you can help me.
There are several structures in the lower jaw area that can become inflamed, irritated or otherwise and form a lump. Some of these include lymph nodes, salivary glands, and soft tissues. It is not highly likely that these lumps are similar in origin. It would be reasonable for you to see your physician for a physical examination and for further exploration do what process might be causing these symptoms.
