Can Thyroid Problems Affect Platelet Levels?

I have ITP and my current platelet count is at 44,000. I have also recently had a lot of symptoms of disfunctioning thyroid and I have two siblings with hypothyroidism. I had an ultrasound done on my thyroid and they "found something." I am meeting with an endocrinologist in May. My question is, can a disfunctioning thyroid affect my platelet levels?

I read carefully your concern and understood your query.
No, thyroid pathologies do not effect platelet count. I have never seen in practice and read in the literature any case until now.
In most of the cases the cause of ITP is autoimmune or unknwon.
