Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dr, I have pain on chest while I move my neck backwards (look up and lean backward). The pain is not so bad but moderately painful. Yesterday night I could not sleep well because of the pain if I lie on side, but no pain if I lie on my back. I could not point a particular point in chest, but I feel the pain just internal to whole chest wall (right, center and left). No pain while breathing . What it might be? is it serious like T4-T5 disk compression. Thanks and waiting for your valued reply Dinesh
Hai,
1. Pain in anterior part of chest - without any difficulty during breathing / walking / climbing up stairs, can be due to costochondritis or muscle spasm
2. Chest x-ray and ECG will help us to rule out other possibilities apart from these costochondritis / muscle spasm
3. Give a trial of anti-inflammatory medication along with a muscle relaxant for 5 days. You should be fine after these medications
