Child. Chain Type Circle Around Neck And Throat. Diagnosed Symptom Of TB. Prescribed Kidicare And Calciforol Sachet. Right Treatment?
hi chaman here, my son age about 7 years weight 22 kg, last month report is here hb 12.8, esr 07, tll 6400, n 66, l 30, m 02 e 02, his throught and neck have some chain type circle. dr. says this is a symptom of tb.. dr give kidicare & polyclav for one month. after 1 month his weight is 23kg & test report is hb 10, tlc 6200, dlc p 66, l 29, m-3, e-2, esr 11mm. and also give kidicare & calciforol sachet. i am very much affraid to him. please suggest me how can i give to my son best treatment.

you should cofirm that its TB
you may do mantoux test ,PCR,igM
these blood test are not suggestive of TB alone
you have to asses response to therapy
he was having fever,anorexia ,weight loss
do Xray chest

I could not understand what symptoms of TB your kid has.
If he had some symptoms of TB he should receive anti tubercular therapy and not Multivitiamins and calcium syrups.
If your doctor thinks that he is having tuberculosis then he should get investigations like mantoux and X ray chest to confirm the diagnosis.
