Could Green Mucous With History Of Chest And Sinus Infections, Shingles In Mouth Indicate Recurred Infection?

I am recovering from back to back infections; first in my chest and then in my sinuses..approx three weeks between each and then recently I acquired shingles in my mouth near my sinus area. I have recovered but notice I still have green mucous (post nasal) first thing in the morning..I ve been told that this may be sinusitis...could the mucous mean that I haven t recovered from the sinus infection?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

Post nasal drip is common in sinusitis and it can be relieved if the sinus infection is cured and drainage of sinuses returns to normal. If you are still on medication for sinus infection, I suggest you complete it. If you are not on any medications then I would suggest you take over the counter nasal decongestants for three days. Steam inhalation will also help to some extent.
Thanks.
