Have Spotting For About A Week. Had Robotic Hysterectomy Earlier. When Will It Be Fine?

Tomorrow it will be 8 weeks since my robotic hysterectomy. I felt great 2 weeks ago and began exercise. I had no pain so I thought i could do more than I really should have. A day after a Zumba class, I began light spotting which lasted about 5 days. It has since stopped. When will i know that i'm healed internally to begin to work out again? It's hard to judge when there isn't any pain. And what exercises should I start with? Thank you.

Hi and thank for this query.
I am so sorry to hear that you had a hysterectomy. But knowing this was for the right reasons, I am happy that you have gotten the appropriate treatment.

Healing after surgery is progressive. Resuming exercises after surgery should be progressive too. How much you can do and not do is guided by how you feel and the various signs. I am happy you have stopped Zumba after noticing the spotting. This doesn't mean you cannot continue being active.

Start with simple sports. Those that do not need you to use muscles in the abdomen that much. Progressively increase the intensity of your activities and also involve the abdominal muscles, too. Listen to your body and make adjustments as needed if anything bothersome happens. This will guide you back to your previous daily activities.

I hope this helps and provides real guidance as you
continue the healing and restoration process. I wish you good health.
