Having Runny Nose, Blockage And Heavy Head With Mild Fever. Sinerest Didn't Work. Prescribed Taxim With Dolo
Hi, I have been having severe runny nose, blockage and heavy head for a week with mild fever. Common cold medicines like Sinerest didnt work. Yesterday (after 7 days), I did a widal and is positive (1:350 for both O & H). Doctor prescribed Taxim-OF 200mg along with Dolo650. The runny nose has not stopped at all and it is extremely severe. What should I do now? Appreciate your help. Thanks. Bala
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. FORUM. The running nose , common cold , blockage , heavy head all are due to allergic bronchitis. Coincidence is that you are also having Widal positive ( typhoid fever). For typhoid fever you are taking good treatment , keep it up. As for allergic bronchitis you have to take antihistamine +bronchodilators after consultation with a physician. Good luck. Dr. HET
