How Can Large Leg Varicose Veins With Throbbing And Soreness Be Treated?
I am a 56 year old female with large varicose veins right leg.My legs often feel heavy and the areas will throb.Also, I have awakened during the night with cramping in my right calf that will only be relieved with fast paced walking until the acute pain goes away then it remains very sore for several days.

hi,greetings from HCM.It is very common to have varicose veins in females from child bearing age due to hormonal changes.Varicose veins are usually asymptomatic for years till it produces symptoms like heaviness of leg, soreness ,redness,itching.Treatment consists of simple measures like foot end elevation while in bed ,elastic compression stockings drugs like calcium dobesilate,venusmin ,can be tried.If varicose veins become problamatic you have consult surgeon and undergo sclerotherapy,laser ablation,or surgery which your doctor will decide
